15.6" FHD business laptop

The HP EliteBook 850 G5 is a 15.6 inch Full HD notebook built for professionals who need a reliable Windows 11 Pro machine with a numeric keypad. It runs on an Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620. The system ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory in a 16 GB x 2 configuration and a 512 GB SSD.

User-replaceable memory and storage

Both SO-DIMM slots are accessible after removing the bottom cover, allowing the installed 32 GB DDR4 to be swapped or expanded up to the platform limit of 64 GB. The M.2 slot accepts SATA or NVME drives in capacities such as 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB. Take care not to overtighten the M.2 screw and ensure the SSD keying matches the slot.

Check your docking and port needs

This unit provides two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port with Thunderbolt, HDMI 1.4b, Gigabit Ethernet, a combo audio jack, a docking connector and optional smart-card or SIM slots. Verify that your existing dock or monitors use compatible interfaces. Buyers who require a smaller 13.3 inch or 14 inch screen should consider the 830 or 840 series instead.
