Business-ready laptop

The HP EliteBook 850 G5 is a 15.6 inch laptop built for professionals who need reliable performance in office environments. It runs on an Intel Core i7-8650U processor with four cores and eight threads at 1.9 GHz. The system includes 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Included charger and battery

The package supplies the laptop, a compatible charger and the internal battery so the unit can be powered and used straight away. The 1 TB NVMe drive provides fast boot and application load times without additional storage configuration. Thunderbolt 3 support on the USB Type-C port allows high-speed data transfer and video output with suitable cables.

Straightforward setup

Initial setup follows the standard Windows 11 out-of-box experience; connect the charger, power on and complete the guided configuration. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 uses shared system memory, so graphically intensive workloads will be limited. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance or upgradeable memory should consider other form factors.

Questions about this item

Does the 1TB NVMe SSD need replacement after a certain write limit?

The 1TB NVMe SSD has no user-replaceable write-limit spec; treat it as a standard solid-state drive and back up data regularly.

Will the 15W i7-8650U throttle first on heat or power during long renders?

The 15W quad-core chip is limited by its 15W power envelope; sustained heavy loads will hit that ceiling before thermal limits.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the chassis feel when the UHD 620 runs all day?

With integrated UHD 620 graphics and a 15W CPU, fan noise stays low and surface temperatures remain moderate during typical all-day workloads.
