HP EliteBook 850 G6 business laptop

The HP EliteBook 850 G6 is a 15.6-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-8565U quad-core processor with 8 MB L3 cache. It ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, 8 GB of DDR4 2400 memory in a single module, and a 512 GB SSD. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 uses shared system memory for visual output on the non-touch 1920 x 1080 display.

Bang & Olufsen audio and collaboration keyboard

Dual stereo speakers tuned by Bang & Olufsen and a three-microphone array support clear conference calls. The HP Premium Collaboration Keyboard includes dedicated keys for call control. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, gigabit LAN, HDMI, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports with charging, and a headphone/microphone combo jack. An HD webcam completes the communication suite.

Straightforward deployment with soldered memory

The 3-cell 56 Wh battery and compact 14.57 x 9.91 x 0.72 inch chassis weighing 4.12 lbs allow quick unboxing and desk setup. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed for immediate domain join. The single 8 GB DDR4 module leaves one slot free, but the memory runs at 2400 MT/s only. Buyers needing more than 8 GB of RAM or discrete graphics for heavy rendering should consider other configurations.

Questions about this item

Can the single 8 GB DDR4 2400 module be replaced with a larger stick later?

Yes, the laptop ships with one 8 GB DDR4 2400 module, leaving the second slot free for a compatible upgrade.

What limits sustained performance first — the 15 W quad-core i7-8565U or the shared Intel UHD 620 graphics?

The 15 W CPU power envelope throttles before the integrated UHD 620 becomes the bottleneck during long workloads.

How loud and hot does the 56 Wh 3-cell battery and fan get during an all-day session?

The 56 Wh battery and efficient Whiskey Lake chip keep fan noise low and surface temperatures moderate for typical office use.
