Convertible Business Laptop

The HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 is a 14.0 inch touchscreen convertible running Windows 11 Pro. It combines an Intel Core i5 11th Gen processor with 16GB of soldered memory and a 1 TB SSD. The 360-degree hinge allows laptop, tent, stand and tablet modes for flexible working.

Suited For And Not For

This unit suits mobile professionals who need a durable, pen-capable display for annotations and presentations. Buyers who need user-upgradeable memory or additional storage bays should look elsewhere, as the RAM is fixed and no secondary drive slot is present. The fair cosmetic grade means visible wear on the chassis and bezel.

Deciding Specification

The defining specification is the 16GB of non-upgradeable memory paired with the Intel Iris Xe graphics. This combination sets a firm ceiling for multitasking headroom and graphical workloads, making it the single factor that confirms whether the device matches your workflow requirements.
