Compact desktop for everyday workloads

The HP EliteDesk 8 G1i SFF is a small-form-factor desktop built for office environments. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and 32 GB of memory, ready for multi-tasking across business applications. The Intel Core Ultra 5 235 processor handles general productivity without a discrete graphics card. This unit suits users who need a quiet, space-saving PC for standard office tasks.

Port selection supports modern and legacy displays

One DisplayPort 2.1 and one HDMI 2.1 output drive two high-resolution monitors simultaneously. A VGA port and a serial connector keep older projectors and industrial equipment working. Front-access USB includes a 10 Gbps Type-C with 15 W power and DisplayPort 1.4 alt-mode, plus a 5 Gbps Type-A pair. Thunderbolt 4 adds a second 10 Gbps Type-C with 15 W output for docks or fast storage.

512 GB SSD and 32 GB RAM cover typical business

The integrated solid-state drive holds the operating system, core applications and active project files for most knowledge workers. Thirty-two gigabytes of memory keeps dozens of browser tabs, Office suites and video calls responsive. Heavy local data sets, large media libraries or virtual-machine clusters will exceed the drive capacity first. Buyers who need more storage or a second graphics card should consider a larger chassis.

Questions about this item

Will the 512 GB SSD need to be replaced for more storage later?

The 512 GB solid-state drive is the factory-installed boot volume; additional drives can be added through the available internal bays if more capacity is required.

What limits sustained performance of the U5 235 processor?

The U5 235 processor runs within the small-form-factor chassis, so its thermal envelope is the first ceiling reached during prolonged heavy workloads.

How loud and hot does the SFF chassis get when running all day?

The compact SFF design uses a managed fan curve that keeps the U5 235 within its thermal limits, so noise stays at typical office levels and surface temperatures remain warm but safe during continuous operation.
