Ultra-compact business desktop

The HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Mini is a micro form-factor PC built for office environments where desk space is limited. It ships with Windows 11 Pro 64-bit, a wireless keyboard and mouse, plus a DP-to-HDMI adapter for immediate dual-monitor connectivity.

Step up from older SFF or tower units

Replacing a larger legacy desktop with this 65 W mini PC reclaims workspace while adding 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 1 TB NVMe SSD for faster boot and application loads. The jump is worth it when quiet operation and a minimal footprint matter more than internal expansion slots.

Sustained office workloads on 65 W power

The Intel Core i5-8500T runs at a 2.10 GHz base clock with a 3.50 GHz turbo and 9 MB L3 cache, cooled by an air system sized for the 65 W supply. Under continuous multi-tasking the processor holds steady speeds without thermal throttling, while Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives two displays reliably for productivity tasks.

Questions about this item

What mounting options does the 65 W Mini chassis support?

The micro form-factor case is designed for VESA mounting behind a monitor or can sit on a desk with the included stand.

Which cable must be connected first so the wireless keyboard and mouse pair automatically?

Insert the USB dongle before powering on the unit; Windows 11 Pro will then detect the peripherals during first boot.

When should the 1 TB NVMe drive be replaced to avoid wear-out?

NVMe endurance is rated in drive-writes per day; plan a replacement once SMART tools report the media-wear indicator approaching one hundred percent.
