Compact Business Desktop

The HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Mini is a micro-form-factor business desktop built around an Intel Core i5-8500T processor with a 2.10 GHz base frequency and 3.5 GHz turbo. It ships with 16 GB DDR4 memory, a 256 GB NVMe SSD and Windows 11 Pro 64-bit, targeting office workers and classroom deployments where desk space is limited.

Simple Setup with Included Peripherals

The unit arrives with a wireless keyboard, mouse, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapter plus a DisplayPort-to-HDMI dongle, so only a monitor and power connection are required. Its 65 W external power adapter keeps cabling minimal, though the single 65 W budget leaves no headroom for discrete graphics upgrades.

Steady Output for Daily Workloads

The 65 W power supply and air-cooling system are sized for the i5-8500T's thermal envelope, allowing sustained operation at base clocks during extended office tasks. Under continuous multi-threaded load the processor will settle near its 2.10 GHz base rather than holding the 3.5 GHz turbo, which is typical for this form factor.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Intel Core i5-8500T reaches its 3.5 GHz turbo after setup?

Open Task Manager’s Performance tab and watch the CPU frequency climb to 3.5 GHz while running a demanding task; the 9 MB L3 cache and Intel UHD Graphics 630 will also appear in the same view.

Which accessories are included and what must I provide myself?

The box contains the mini desktop, a DP-to-HDMI adapter, wireless keyboard and mouse, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapter, and a 65 W power adapter; you must supply your own monitor(s).

Should I choose the 16 GB DDR4 and 256 GB NVMe configuration or look for a different capacity?

This unit ships with 16 GB DDR4 RAM and a 256 GB NVMe SSD running Windows 11 Pro 64-bit; if your workload needs more memory or storage, you would need a different SKU.
