HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF Business Desktop

This HP EliteDesk 800 G4 small form factor desktop comes with a 24 inch IPS monitor. The system uses an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor reaching 4.10 GHz. It includes 16 GB DDR4 memory and dual storage with a 128 GB M.2 SSD plus a 1 TB SSD. Windows 11 Pro is installed.

Suits office workers needing a compact PC

Buyers who want a dedicated graphics card for gaming or rendering should look elsewhere. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics handle general business tasks only. Users requiring more than 16 GB RAM or additional internal drive bays will find the SFF chassis limiting. The 65 W processor is not built for sustained heavy workloads.

16 GB DDR4 memory and dual SSD storage

The configuration provides 16 GB of DDR4 UDIMM memory alongside a 128 GB M.2 drive and a 1 TB SSD. This combination delivers fast boot times and ample space for documents and applications. The memory uses the standard DDR4 format for this platform.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 65 W i5-8500 get when the SFF chassis runs all day?

The 65 W hexa-core processor is rated for typical office workloads; the small-form-factor case uses a single managed fan that stays quiet under normal load and ramps up only during sustained heavy tasks.

Which display cables do I need to connect the included 24-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS monitor to this desktop?

The monitor ships with a DisplayPort cable; the desktop provides DisplayPort and VGA outputs, so the supplied cable works immediately without an adapter.

Can I keep using my existing USB keyboard and mouse instead of the bundled HP set?

Yes — the front and rear USB ports accept any standard USB keyboard or mouse, so your current peripherals will work without extra drivers.
