EliteDesk 800 G5 Mini Desktop

This HP EliteDesk 800 G5 is a compact desktop computer built around a 9th Generation Intel Core i5-9500T processor with 6 cores. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4-2666 memory and a 256 GB PCIe NVMe TLC M.2 SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and the unit includes Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 and Bluetooth connectivity.

Ideal for Office and Home Users

The mini form factor suits office workers, students and home users who need a quiet, space-saving PC for productivity, web browsing and video conferencing. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles everyday visual tasks and multi-monitor setups. Buyers who require a discrete graphics card for 3D rendering, gaming or GPU compute workloads should look at a larger chassis with PCIe expansion slots.

256 GB NVMe Boot Drive Capacity

The single 256 GB NVMe SSD provides fast boot and application load times but offers limited space for large media libraries, datasets or multiple virtual machines. Users who plan to store extensive local files will need to add external storage or select a configuration with a larger drive.

Questions about this item

Will the i5-9500T throttle under a sustained multi-core load in this mini chassis?

The 65 W external adapter feeds the system; the 6-core i5-9500T runs at 2.2 GHz base and can boost to 3.7 GHz, so thermals are managed within that power envelope.

How loud and hot does the EliteDesk 800 G5 get when left on all day?

The small form factor uses a 65 W external brick and integrated UHD 630 graphics, keeping fan noise low and surface temperatures modest during typical office workloads.

What must I already own to start working with this desktop?

You need a display with HDMI or DisplayPort input plus a USB keyboard and mouse; the unit ships with Windows 11 Pro, 16 GB DDR4-2666, 256 GB NVMe SSD and Wi-Fi 6 built in.
