Ultra-compact business desktop

The HP EliteDesk 800 G5 Mini PC fits enterprise workloads into a footprint small enough to mount behind a compatible display. A six-core Intel Core i5-9500T running at 2.2 GHz with a 3.5 GHz turbo boost handles simultaneous business applications, while 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD keep data access responsive. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed and activated.

Replaces tower workstations

This mini desktop substitutes full-size towers where desk space is limited but multi-monitor output and wired gigabit Ethernet are still required. The jump is worth it when a 35 W processor, dual DisplayPort video and front USB-C connectivity satisfy the workflow without the bulk of a traditional chassis. Internal Wi-Fi adds placement flexibility where cabling is impractical.

Suits space-constrained offices

Buyers deploying fleets for standard productivity, web apps and dual-display setups will find the configuration ready to deploy. Those who need discrete graphics performance, user-upgradeable memory beyond the installed capacity, or included peripherals such as a keyboard, mouse or monitor should look at alternative form factors.

Questions about this item

What mounting options exist for the 800 G5 Mini behind an HP EliteDisplay?

The Mini PC has a small footprint and is designed to mount directly behind a compatible HP EliteDisplay using HP's proprietary mounting bracket or VESA mount accessory.

Which screw or latch must be released first when opening the case to add DDR4 memory?

Loosen the single captive thumb screw on the bottom cover, then slide the cover off; the memory slots are immediately accessible without removing the motherboard tray.

When will the 1 TB NVMe M.2 SSD likely need replacement under typical business workloads?

The PCIe NVMe drive has no moving parts and is rated for several hundred terabytes written, so it generally outlasts the 35 W i5-9500T platform in normal office use.
