HP EliteDesk 800 G5 SFF desktop PC

The HP EliteDesk 800 G5 is a small-form-factor desktop computer powered by an Intel Core i5-9700 hexa-core processor running at 3.0 GHz. It comes with 16 GB of system memory and a 128 GB solid-state drive. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and a USB Wi-Fi adapter is included for wireless connectivity. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 630 handles video output for everyday productivity tasks.

Installation and common issues

The unit arrives fully assembled with the operating system already configured, so initial setup only requires connecting power, a display and peripherals. Memory upgrades are possible using the two available slots, which support a maximum of 32 GB in total. Storage expansion depends on the internal drive bays and connectors present in the chassis. The supplied USB Wi-Fi adapter provides wireless networking without the need for internal card installation.

Sustained-load behaviour

Under continuous workloads the six-core CPU maintains its base frequency while the integrated graphics share system memory for display and light compute tasks. The compact SFF chassis relies on internal airflow to manage heat from the processor and SSD during extended use. Thermal performance will vary with ambient temperature and case ventilation. The 128 GB SSD offers fast access speeds for the operating system and active files, though capacity may require management for larger data sets.
