Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s is a slim small-form-factor desktop built for business environments. It runs on an Intel Core i5-8500 six-core processor at 3.0 GHz with 8 GB DDR4 memory and a 1 TB NVMe PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and the chassis fits tight spaces.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This system suits office workers handling documents, web apps and video calls on integrated Intel UHD 630 graphics. It is not for buyers who need discrete graphics for 3D rendering or gaming, nor for teams requiring built-in Wi-Fi or an optical drive. Expansion is limited by the compact case.

Bundled accessories and software impact

The package includes only the desktop and a power cord; no monitor, keyboard, mouse or speaker set is supplied. Windows 11 Pro brings BitLocker encryption, Remote Desktop and domain join for IT-managed fleets. The single USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port adds a modern connector for peripherals.

Questions about this item

Does the desktop include a keyboard and mouse, or must I supply my own?

Keyboard and mouse are not included; you will need to provide your own USB or wireless set.

Can I keep my older VGA monitor while adding a newer DisplayPort display?

Yes — one VGA port and two DisplayPort outputs are present, so both legacy and modern monitors can be connected simultaneously.

How can I verify the NVMe SSD is recognised at full speed after first boot?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose the 1 TB drive and confirm the interface shows PCIe and the active link speed reads Gen 3 x4.
