HP 640 G8 refurbished business laptop

The HP 640 G8 is a refurbished 14.0-inch business laptop graded A for excellent cosmetic condition. It runs Windows 11 Pro 64-bit on an Intel Core i5-1135G7 quad-core processor with 16GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics drive the 1366 x 768 non-touch display.

Installation and common issues

The unit ships with a power adapter so it is ready to use after the standard Windows 11 Pro setup. As a refurbished device, buyers should verify the SSD health and battery cycle count on first boot. The single USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port supports Power Delivery and DisplayPort, while two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports handle legacy peripherals.

Suitable users and limitations

This configuration suits office workers and students who need a light 14-inch chassis with a quad-core processor and 16GB of memory for multitasking. The 256GB SSD may be tight for users storing large media libraries or virtual machines. The 1366 x 768 panel lacks touch input and higher pixel density, so creative professionals needing colour-critical or high-resolution screens should look elsewhere.
