HP 850 G8 refurbished business laptop

The HP 850 G8 is a refurbished 15.6-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-1185G7 quad-core processor with 12 MB L3 cache. It comes with 32GB of system memory and a 2TB NVMe solid-state drive. Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics share system memory and drive the 1920 x 1080 non-touch display. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed and the chassis is rated Grade A cosmetic condition.

Suits mobile professionals needing memory and ports

This configuration suits professionals who need 32GB of memory and a 2TB NVMe drive for large datasets or virtual machines. The two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB Type-A ports and HDMI 2.0 output support docks and external displays. Buyers who want a dedicated graphics card for 3D rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. Users requiring a touchscreen or an optical drive will not find those features here.

32GB memory and 2TB NVMe drive capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the combination of 32GB memory and a 2TB NVMe solid-state drive. This capacity pair determines whether the laptop can hold your working set and active projects without external storage. If your workload needs more memory or a larger drive, this unit will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the i7-1185G7 stay cool and quiet during an all-day workload?

The quad-core i7-1185G7 has a 12 MB L3 cache and integrated Iris Xe graphics, so typical business tasks generate moderate heat that the 850 G8 chassis dissipates without loud fan noise.

Which peripherals must I already own to use the two Thunderbolt 4 ports and the HDMI 2.0 output?

You need Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 cables for the two Thunderbolt ports and an HDMI 2.0 cable for the single HDMI output; the laptop also provides two USB Type-A ports for standard accessories.

Will the Intel Iris Xe graphics drive my older 1920 x 1080 monitor alongside the built-in 15.6" screen?

Yes, the integrated Iris Xe graphics uses shared system memory and supports the HDMI 2.0 port, so it can mirror or extend to an external 1920 x 1080 display while the internal panel remains active.
