Compact desktop for meetings and light workloads

The HP Mini Conference G9 fits behind a display and runs Windows 10 IoT Enterprise on an Intel Core i7-12700T with 12 cores and 20 threads. It is aimed at offices that need a quiet, small-footprint machine for video calls, web apps and document work without a full-size tower.

Simple setup with external power

A 90 W external adapter plugs into mains power and the single headset jack handles audio. The chassis has no internal drive bays or expansion slots, so adding storage or a discrete GPU is not possible. Buyers who need internal upgrades or a second graphics card should look elsewhere.

16 GB DDR5 and 256 GB NVMe for everyday tasks

The 16 GB DDR5-4800 memory (2 x 8 GB) and 256 GB PCIe NVMe TLC SSD handle multitasking and fast boot times. Intel UHD Graphics 770 drives one display for conferencing and office apps. Heavier workloads such as video editing or large datasets will exceed the available RAM and storage headroom.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the Intel Core i7-12700T is reaching its 4.7 GHz turbo speed after setup?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, and watch the CPU frequency climb to 4.7 GHz while running a heavy workload; the 12-core, 20-thread processor should sustain that speed when thermals allow.

What comes in the box with the HP Mini Conference G9 and what must I purchase separately?

The desktop, a 90 W external power adapter, and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise are included; you must supply your own monitor, keyboard, mouse, and any additional storage or memory upgrades.

Which memory configuration should I choose if I want to expand the 16 GB DDR5-4800 later?

The system ships with two 8 GB DDR5-4800 modules filling both slots; to increase capacity you must replace both sticks with a matched higher-capacity DDR5-4800 kit.
