HP EliteDesk 800 G4-MINI business desktop

The HP EliteDesk 800 G4-MINI is a refurbished mini PC built around an Intel Core i7-8700T six-core processor running at 2.40 GHz with 12 MB of L3 cache. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 500 GB M.2 NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles display output.

Mini form factor for space-constrained desks

The mini chassis fits behind a monitor or inside a small cabinet, leaving the desk surface clear for paperwork or additional peripherals. A single power brick supplies the unit, so there is no internal power supply to route cables around. The integrated graphics mean no discrete card is required, freeing the sole expansion slot for other add-in boards if the platform supports it.

Windows 11 Pro 64-bit ready to deploy

The operating system is installed and activated, removing the need for a separate licence purchase or manual setup. Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives up to three displays through the available video outputs, so multi-monitor productivity works immediately. The 500 GB NVMe SSD provides the boot volume; users who need more storage must add external drives or a secondary internal device if the board allows.

Questions about this item

How does the Intel Core i7-8700T processor handle thermal limits when all six cores run at 2.40 GHz for long periods?

The 12 MB L3 cache and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 share the same thermal envelope, so sustained loads will throttle once the mini chassis reaches its cooling capacity.

What fan noise and heat output should I expect from this EliteDesk 800 G4-MINI when it runs Windows 11 Pro all day?

The compact Mini PC form factor uses integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 and a low-power CPU, so fan noise and surface temperature stay low during continuous operation.

Which display cables and monitors do I need to connect to the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 video outputs on this unit?

The integrated video interface requires a monitor with a compatible input such as DisplayPort or HDMI and the appropriate cable, which are not included with the desktop.
