16-core Ryzen 9 mobile workstation

DDR5 memory and NVMe storage foundation

Sixty-four gigabytes of DDR5 RAM and a two-terabyte PCIe NVMe SSD leave no practical bottleneck for multitasking or asset streaming. One USB Type-C port with USB Power Delivery 3.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 handles charging and external displays. HDMI 2.1, RJ-45 and three Type-A ports cover peripherals and wired networking.

240 Hz WQXGA panel with 100% sRGB

The 16-inch IPS display runs at 2560 by 1600 resolution with a 60 to 240 Hz variable refresh rate and three-millisecond response time. Five hundred nits brightness and full sRGB coverage suit colour-critical work and fast-paced gaming. An 83 Wh battery and 1080p IR camera support mobile sessions and secure login.

Questions about this item

How long does the 83 Wh battery last under sustained gaming load?

The 6-cell 83 Wh lithium-ion polymer battery will drain faster under continuous high-performance use; actual runtime depends on workload and power settings.

How loud do the fans get when the Ryzen 9 8940HX and RTX 5070 run all day?

Under sustained load the cooling system spins up to manage the 16-core CPU and 8 GB GPU; expect audible fan noise in a quiet room.

Does the USB-C 10Gbps port with USB Power Delivery 3.0 let me charge the laptop from a compatible dock?

Yes, the single USB Type-C port supports USB Power Delivery 3.0, DisplayPort 1.4 and HP Sleep and Charge for docking and charging.
