16-inch WQXGA 240 Hz gaming laptop

The HP OMEN 16 pairs an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. A 16.0-inch IPS panel runs at 2560 x 1600 resolution with a 60-240 Hz variable refresh rate and 3 ms response time. The system ships with 16 GB DDR5 memory and a 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD under Windows 11 Pro.

Suited for competitive play and creative workloads

The 16-core, 32-thread CPU reaches 5.3 GHz boost while the GPU provides 8 GB video memory for modern titles at high settings. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 handle wireless duties. Users who need more than 16 GB RAM or larger primary storage out of the box should consider configurations with higher capacities.

16 GB DDR5 and 512 GB NVMe headroom

The 16 GB DDR5 kit handles current games and multitasking comfortably; the platform supports up to 64 GB for future upgrades. The 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD offers fast load times, though large libraries will fill it quickly. The 83 Wh battery and 500-nit display provide solid mobile endurance for the form factor.
