AI-ready 16-inch laptop

The HP Omnibook 5 16 ships as a Copilot+ PC powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor with a 50 TOPS NPU. Sixteen gigabytes of LPDDR5x-7500 memory and a 1 TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 drive come standard. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed for immediate use.

16 GB memory and 1 TB storage

The single 16 GB LPDDR5x module handles multitasking and local AI workloads without paging. The 1 TB M.2 2242 SSD offers fast boot and app loads, yet the single-drive layout leaves no internal slot for a second drive. Buyers who want more storage must rely on external solutions.

59 Wh battery with 65 W USB-C charging

A three-cell 59 Wh polymer battery supports HP Fast Charge, reaching roughly 50 percent in 30 minutes. Two USB-C 10 Gbps ports deliver power, DisplayPort 2.1 video and sleep charging. One USB-A 5 Gbps and one USB-A 10 Gbps port cover legacy peripherals, while HDMI 2.1 drives an external display. The 16.0 inch 1920 x 1200 touch IPS panel reaches 300 nits with 62.5 percent sRGB coverage.

Questions about this item

Will my older USB-A flash drives and HDMI monitor work with the 10 Gbps USB-C, 10 Gbps USB-A, 5 Gbps USB-A and HDMI 2.1 ports?

Yes — the laptop provides one USB-C 10 Gbps port with DisplayPort 2.1 and power delivery, one USB-A 10 Gbps port, one USB-A 5 Gbps port and an HDMI 2.1 output, so legacy USB-A drives and external displays connect directly.

How can I confirm the AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 NPU is delivering the advertised 50 TOPS for Copilot+ features?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab and choose the NPU graph; it will show real-time utilisation when Windows Studio Effects, Live Captions or Recall are active, confirming the 50 TOPS engine is working.

Does the box include the 65 W USB-C power adapter or must I buy it separately?

The 65 W USB Type-C power adapter ships in the box along with the laptop, 59 Wh battery, documentation and no optical drive — no separate purchase is required for charging.
