HP OmniBook 7 16" OLED Touch Laptop

The HP OmniBook 7 is a 16-inch Copilot+ PC built on the Intel Evo platform with an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor and integrated NPU. It ships with 32 GB LPDDR5x memory and a 1 TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD. The 2K OLED touchscreen runs at 120 Hz and covers 100% DCI-P3. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Suited for AI-assisted workflows

This laptop suits professionals who need on-device AI acceleration via the 50 TOPS NPU and a colour-accurate OLED panel for creative work. The 32 GB memory and 1 TB drive handle large project files locally. Buyers who need discrete graphics for heavy 3D rendering or gaming should look at a different machine. Users requiring upgradeable memory or a second storage slot will not find them here.

50 TOPS NPU decides AI readiness

The integrated NPU delivers 50 TOPS of AI performance, which is the single specification that determines whether this system meets Microsoft Copilot+ PC requirements. If your workflow depends on qualifying for Copilot+ features, this NPU rating confirms eligibility. If you do not need on-device AI acceleration at that level, a lower-spec model may suffice.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H is running at up to 4.9 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost after setup?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab and watch the CPU frequency climb toward 4.9 GHz under load; the Intel Evo badge on the chassis also certifies the platform meets the responsiveness targets for this processor.

What comes in the box and what must I buy separately for the 1 TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD configuration?

The box includes the laptop, a 100 W USB Type-C GaN power adapter and documentation; the 1 TB SSD and 32 GB LPDDR5x memory are already installed, so no storage or RAM upgrades are required.

Which display version should I choose for the 16 inch 2K OLED 120 Hz touchscreen with 100% DCI-P3?

The listed model already provides the 2048 x 1280 OLED panel at 120 Hz with 400 nits SDR brightness, 0.2 ms response time and full DCI-P3 coverage — no alternative display option exists for this SKU.
