Print Handling

The instant-dry coating allows immediate handling and lamination straight from the printer, which streamlines workflow and raises productivity. No drying time is required before finishing or displaying the prints.

Questions about this item

How do I load the 36-inch wide roll into my HP Designjet 5500 series printer without misaligning the media?

Open the roll cover, place the roll on the spindle with the printable side facing out, insert the spindle into the printer cradles, feed the leading edge straight into the take-up reel or platen until the printer beeps, then close the cover and run the automatic alignment from the front panel.

Does the instant-dry coating on this HP Premium Instant-Dry photo paper degrade or require replacement over time?

The coating is part of the paper itself and does not wear out; each roll is single-use, so you simply replace the entire roll when the 100-foot length is exhausted.

What is the maximum continuous print length I can run on this 100-foot roll before the paper runs out?

The roll provides 100 feet of continuous media, so the longest single print or batch you can produce without reloading is 100 feet.
