Compact business desktop

The HP ProDesk 600 G2 Tiny is a micro-form desktop built for office environments that need a small footprint. It ships with an Intel Core i7-6700T processor, 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB SSD. Windows 10 Professional is pre-installed and a wired keyboard and mouse are included.

Sustained workload behaviour

The 6700T runs at a 2.80 GHz base frequency and can reach 3.60 GHz when thermal headroom allows. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 530 handles everyday business applications and supports 4K output over DisplayPort. The 64 GB maximum memory limit gives room for future upgrades if workloads grow.

Installation and common issues

The Tiny chassis uses tool-less access so memory and storage swaps are straightforward. The BTO Wi-Fi adapter is pre-fitted, but the antennas are small and signal strength can vary with desk placement. Only low-profile expansion cards fit the single internal slot, so full-height add-in cards will not install.

Questions about this item

How loud does the HP ProDesk 600 G2 Tiny get when the Intel Core i7-6700T runs at 3.60 GHz for hours?

The tiny chassis uses a small internal fan; under sustained load the fan ramps up to a noticeable but not intrusive hum, while at idle it is nearly silent.

What display cable must I already own to use the DisplayPort output on this HP ProDesk 600 G2 Tiny?

You need a DisplayPort cable or a DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter, because the unit only provides DisplayPort video outputs and no HDMI port.

Will my existing DDR4 memory modules work if I want to expand the 8 GB up to the 64 GB maximum?

Yes, the board accepts standard DDR4 SO-DIMMs; you can add or replace modules to reach the 64 GB limit.
