Compact business desktop

The HP ProDesk 600 G5 Mini is a new business desktop built around an Intel Core i5 9th Gen i5-9500T processor running at 2.20 GHz. It ships with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 2TB SSD running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. The mini chassis fits tight workspaces while delivering office-class compute for productivity applications.

Upgrade from older small-form-factor PCs

This system replaces ageing desktops that struggle with modern multitasking and slow mechanical drives. The jump is worth it when daily workflows involve multiple browser tabs, large spreadsheets or concurrent business apps that exceed 8GB of memory. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles standard display output without a discrete card.

Memory and storage headroom

The 16GB DDR4 capacity comfortably handles typical office workloads and leaves room for background services. The 2TB SSD provides ample space for local files, applications and cached data. Demanding creative suites, virtualisation or large dataset processing will eventually exhaust the 65 W processor and integrated graphics limits.

How do I install additional DDR4 memory in the ProDesk 600 G5 Mini, and which step is commonly missed?

Remove the bottom cover, insert the DDR4 SO-DIMM at an angle until it clicks, then secure the cover; the step often missed is fully seating the module before locking it down.
