ProDesk 600 G5 with i5-9500 and 2 TB SSD

This desktop system pairs a six-core Intel Core i5-9500 processor with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 2 TB solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. The package includes a 24 inch LCD monitor, an NVIDIA Quadro P620 graphics card, RGB speakers, a wired keyboard and a USB mouse. It is suited for office work, study and general home use.

Suited for everyday productivity and multi-tasking

The 32 GB memory and fast SSD give smooth performance for browsing, video calls, document editing and light creative tasks. The Quadro P620 adds support for professional 2D and entry-level 3D applications. Buyers who need high-end 3D rendering, heavy video editing or modern gaming performance should look at a workstation or gaming-grade system. The four memory slots allow expansion up to 128 GB if workloads grow.

LGA 1151 socket limits CPU upgrades

The motherboard uses the LGA 1151 socket, which only accepts 8th and 9th generation Intel Core processors. This means the installed i5-9500 is near the top of the supported range and a faster CPU would require a new motherboard and memory. Check this constraint before planning any processor upgrade.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 32 GB DDR4 module into the four memory slots on this ProDesk 600G5?

Open the chassis, align the notch on the 32 GB DDR4 stick with the slot key, press firmly until the retention clips click, then close the case and power on.

What maintenance will the 2 TB SATA SSD and the Quadro P620 graphics card need over time?

Keep the SSD firmware updated through Windows Update and blow dust from the Quadro P620 heatsink annually to maintain cooling performance.

Which limit appears first when the Core i5-9500 runs sustained workloads on this LGA 1151 platform?

The processor reaches its thermal ceiling under continuous multi-core load, causing frequency reduction before the 128 GB memory ceiling or the 2 TB storage fills.
