Compact Business Desktop

This HP ProDesk G2 small form factor desktop pairs a 6th Generation Intel Core i5-6500 processor running at 3.2 GHz up to 3.6 GHz with 16 GB DDR4 memory. A 1 TB SSD and 2 TB HDD provide fast boot times and generous capacity. The system includes a 24-inch anti-glare LED monitor, wired RGB keyboard and mouse, and ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit installed.

Suited for Office Work and Multi-Monitor Setups

Built-in Wi-Fi and DisplayPort outputs supporting 4K resolution make this unit ready for modern office environments and dual-screen productivity. The compact chassis fits tight desk spaces. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance for 3D rendering or gaming should consider a different system, as this configuration relies on integrated graphics only.

1 TB SSD Plus 2 TB HDD Storage Combination

The primary 1 TB solid-state drive holds the operating system and active applications for quick responsiveness, while the secondary 2 TB hard drive stores large archives and media files. This dual-drive layout balances speed and capacity in a single small form factor chassis.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DDR4 memory and what step do people often miss?

Power off the SFF, open the chassis, seat each module in the DIMM slots until the retention clips click, then verify 16 GB appears in BIOS before loading Windows 10 Pro.

Which component will need replacement first and what is the upgrade ceiling?

The 1 TB SSD or 2 TB HDD will likely wear out first; memory can be expanded to 64 GB DDR4 if more capacity is required later.

What thermal or power limit appears first during sustained loads on the i5-6500?

The 65 W TDP ceiling of the 3.2 GHz base / 3.6 GHz boost processor is reached before the small-form-factor cooler can dissipate additional heat.
