Ready-to-use desktop for everyday work

This HP ProDesk tower ships with Windows 11 Pro, an Intel Core i5-4570 processor, 16 GB of DDR3 memory and a 1 TB SSD. A GTX 1660 SUPER graphics card with 6 GB of DDR6 video memory is installed, providing DisplayPort and HDMI outputs for external monitors. The package includes a wired keyboard and mouse so the system is operational straight out of the box.

Thermals and power in typical use

The tower chassis uses standard airflow paths to cool the 45 W quad-core CPU and the GTX 1660 SUPER under normal workloads. Fan noise stays low during office tasks, web browsing and video playback, rising only when the GPU is pushed in heavier 3D scenes. Power draw reflects the combined TDP of the processor and graphics card without requiring exotic cooling.

Upgrade path and when to consider it

This system replaces an older office tower that relies on integrated graphics and a mechanical hard drive, adding discrete 1080p gaming capability and SSD responsiveness. The motherboard supports up to 64 GB of DDR3, so memory can be doubled later if multitasking demands grow. Buyers who need modern CPU instruction sets, higher core counts or faster storage interfaces should look at newer platforms.

Questions about this item

How do I install the GTX 1660 SUPER and which step is commonly missed?

Insert the card into the PCIe x16 slot, secure the bracket screw, then connect the required 8-pin power cable from the PSU; the step most often missed is attaching that power connector.

What maintenance or replacement will the 16 GB DDR3 memory need later?

The system supports up to 64 GB total; you can add three more DDR3 DIMMs or replace the existing modules with higher-capacity DDR3 sticks when you need more capacity.

What limit appears first during sustained loads on the i5-4570?

The 45 W TDP processor will hit its thermal ceiling before the 1660 SUPER reaches its power limit, causing the CPU to throttle clocks to stay within its 3.60 GHz turbo ceiling.
