1U rack server with Intel Xeon E5-2603 v3 six-core 1.6 GHz processor, 128 GB DDR4 memory, two 500 GB 7.2K SATA drives, B140i software RAID and redundant hot-swap 550 W power supply
Installed Memory Size 128GB
HDD 2 x 500GB
The HP ProLiant DL160 Gen9 is a 1U rack server built for general-purpose workloads. It ships with a single Intel Xeon E5-2603 v3 six-core processor at 1.6GHz and 128GB of DDR4 memory across 16 DIMM slots. Two 500GB 7.2K SATA drives and a B140i software RAID controller provide baseline storage redundancy. A 550W redundant hot-swap power supply supports continuous operation.
The system supports up to two E5-2600 v3 or v4 processors for a maximum of 36 total cores. Memory can scale to 1TB using registered ECC DDR4 modules up to 2400MT/s, though actual speed depends on the installed CPU. Eight 2.5-inch SFF bays accept SATA or SAS drives; the B140i controller manages SATA only. No operating system is included.
The 1U form factor fits standard racks while exposing eight hot-swap drive bays at the front for quick replacement. Redundant power supplies are also hot-swappable, reducing downtime during maintenance. The Matrox G200 GPU handles basic video output for management consoles. With no optical drive or media bay installed, the front panel remains dedicated to storage access.

Other versions of this model
The server includes one E5-2603 v3 6-core 1.6GHz processor, 128GB DDR4 memory, two 500GB 7.2K 2.5" SATA drives with trays, a B140i software RAID controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, a 550W power supply, and Matrox G200 graphics. An operating system, a second processor, additional drives, and a media bay are not included.
The system has 16 DDR4 slots (8 per processor) with a maximum of 128GB using the E5-2603 v3. The installed 128GB already reaches this limit, so no further memory can be added unless a second processor is fitted to unlock the full 1TB platform capacity.
The 1.6GHz base frequency on six cores provides steady throughput for entry-level virtualisation, file serving, and web workloads. Turbo boost is not supported on this model, so sustained performance stays at the rated speed within the 550W power envelope.
