1U rack server with a 12-core Xeon at 2.3 GHz, 128 GB DDR4, dual 500 GB SATA drives and redundant power
Installed Memory Size 128GB
HDD 2 x 500GB
The HP ProLiant DL360 G9 is a 1U rackmount server system designed for space-constrained data centres. It ships with a single Intel Xeon E5-2670v3 twelve-core processor running at 2.3GHz and 128GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory across 24 DIMM slots. Two 500GB 7.2K RPM 2.5-inch enterprise SATA drives are installed in an 8-bay SFF chassis backed by dual redundant 500W hot-swap power supplies.
This configuration suits organisations running virtualisation clusters, application servers or memory-intensive workloads that benefit from high core counts and large RAM capacity in a 1U footprint. Buyers needing a second processor for 24 physical cores, hardware RAID with battery-backed cache, SAS drive support, or a discrete GPU for compute acceleration should evaluate other platforms because the B140i controller is SATA only and the chassis ships with a single CPU installed.
The integrated B140i controller provides RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 for SATA drives only and does not support SAS or hardware RAID features. This single specification determines whether the storage subsystem matches the deployment plan, as the eight SFF bays and installed 500GB SATA drives are limited to the capabilities of this software RAID implementation.
