The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 is a 1U rack-mount server system designed for space-constrained environments. It ships with a single Intel Xeon E5-2640 v3 eight-core processor running at 2.6GHz and 4GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. Four 300GB 15K SAS drives and a Smart HBA H240ar controller provide immediate storage capacity. Dual redundant 500W power supplies support continuous operation.

SAS interface and controller limits

The Smart HBA H240ar controller operates at 12Gbps SAS and 6Gbps SATA speeds, managing the installed 3.5-inch drives through a 6Gbps SAS backplane. RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 are supported across the four large form factor bays. The 15K rotational speed drives prioritise transactional throughput over raw capacity. Memory speed is capped by the processor at 2400MT/s across 24 DIMM slots.
