This 1U rack system ships with one eight-core Intel Xeon E5-2640v3 running at 2.6GHz and 4GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. The chassis provides four 3.5-inch large-form-factor bays populated with four 1TB 7.2K SAS drives managed by an HP Smart HBA H240ar controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Dual 500W redundant hot-swap power supplies and 24 DIMM slots give room for growth in a dense footprint.

Suits small virtualisation or storage targets.

The single processor and 4GB base memory fit light virtualisation, file serving or backup roles where the four included SAS drives supply immediate capacity. Organisations planning heavy compute workloads, large memory datasets or GPU acceleration will need additional CPUs, far more RAM and a different chassis configuration.

Four-bay LFF limit decides fit

Only four 3.5-inch drive bays are available, so the installed 4TB raw capacity cannot be expanded internally without removing drives. Buyers who need more internal bays or a different drive form factor must choose another platform.
