Outdoor dual-band wireless access point delivering 2.97 Gbit/s with four internal antennas, IP67-rated enclosure, 5 Gbit/s and 10 Gbit/s Ethernet ports and PoE support
The HP R7T04A AP-585 is a wireless access point built for outdoor deployment. It operates on 2.40 GHz and 5 GHz bands with a total of four internal antennas. Wireless transmission speed reaches 2.97 Gbit/s using MIMO and beamforming technology. Data encryption is supported with WPA3 and WPA2-MPSK standards.
This unit targets IT teams extending wireless LAN to outdoor areas such as courtyards, stadiums or industrial yards. The IP67 rating protects against dust and water ingress during permanent installation. Wall, pole and ceiling mount options give flexibility for different structural profiles. Buyers needing indoor-only hardware or a lower power draw should consider other models.
The access point consumes 71 W and requires a PoE source able to deliver that budget on one of its two RJ-45 ports. Ports support 10 Gigabit, 5 Gigabit and Gigabit Ethernet speeds for uplink flexibility. A USB port and a dedicated management port are also available for local service access. Verify your PoE injector or switch capacity before ordering.

The AP-585 operates on both 2.40 GHz and 5 GHz simultaneously, so you do not choose one band — dual-band clients connect to whichever radio suits their range and speed needs.
That figure is the combined PHY-rate ceiling across both radios under ideal conditions; real-world throughput will be lower due to overhead, interference and client capabilities.
The two RJ-45 ports negotiate at 10 Gbit/s, 5 Gbit/s or 1 Gbit/s, so the wired uplink caps at the highest speed both the switch and the AP support.
