Outdoor Wi-Fi 6E access point for hazardous

The HPE AP-675EX is a tri-band outdoor wireless access point built to operate in hazardous and environmentally challenging locations. It targets enterprise and industrial IoT deployments that require weatherproof, temperature-hardened hardware with integrated high-power Bluetooth and Zigbee radios.

Tri-radio design delivering up to 3.9 Gbit/s

The unit uses a tri-radio 2x2:2 MIMO configuration across 2.40 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands to achieve a maximum aggregate data rate of 3.90 Gbit/s. Wider channels in the 6 GHz band more than double wireless capacity compared with previous Wi-Fi generations, while performance tapers off in dense multi-floor or long-range outdoor scenarios where signal attenuation increases.

Integrated Bluetooth and Zigbee radios simplify

On-board high-power Bluetooth and Zigbee radios remove the need for separate IoT gateways, letting the access point manage low-power sensor networks directly. Fast wired uplink connectivity supports backhaul for both Wi-Fi and IoT traffic, and the limited lifetime warranty covers the combined radio platform for the product's usable life.

Questions about this item

Will the S0Q50A work with my existing 2.40 GHz and 5 GHz clients?

Yes, the AP-675EX supports 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax across 2.40 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz so legacy devices connect on their usual bands while newer ones use the 6 GHz spectrum

How can I confirm the AP-675EX is delivering the rated 3.90 Gbit/s aggregate throughput after installation?

Check the controller dashboard for tri‑radio 2x2:2 MIMO link rates on all three bands and run a multi‑client throughput test; the combined result should approach 3.9 Gbit/s under clean RF conditions

Does the S0Q50A package include mounting hardware and a PoE injector, or must I order them separately?

The box contains the ruggedised AP-675EX unit with integrated antennas; mounting brackets and a compatible PoE injector are sold separately
