High-capacity ink tank printer

The HP Smart Tank 7602 is an all-in-one inkjet printer built for small-business owners who need colour printing, copying, scanning and faxing in a single device. It ships with up to three years of Original HP ink in the box, delivering a low cost per page from day one. A 35-page automatic document feeder speeds through multi-page jobs without manual reloading. The 800 MHz processor handles print, scan and copy tasks reliably.

Suited for high-volume colour work

This printer fits offices that regularly produce colour documents, borderless photos up to 8.5 x 11 inches and faxes, and want the convenience of refillable ink tanks. It is less suited for users who only need occasional black-and-white pages, as the tank system and included ink volume are designed for heavier colour throughput. Buyers who require network printing without a local computer connection should verify connectivity options before purchase.

Ink capacity and page yield

The box includes enough Original HP ink for up to 8,000 colour pages or 6,000 black pages, giving substantial headroom before the first refill. Replacement bottles provide 135 ml black or 70 ml per colour, maintaining the same yield per refill. Print resolution reaches 4800 x 1200 dpi for colour and 1200 x 1200 dpi for black, so quality remains consistent across the full ink volume. The 35-page ADF capacity sets the practical limit for unattended multi-page scanning or copying.

Questions about this item

Does the HP Smart Tank 7602 need a computer running Windows 10 or macOS 11 Big Sur to set it up?

The printer supports Windows 11, 10, 7 and macOS from 10.14 Mojave through 14 Sonoma, so a device with any of those operating systems and an internet connection will work for initial configuration.

Will the 35-page auto document feeder handle the same paper sizes as my older flatbed scanner that only accepts A4?

The scanner bed accepts documents up to 8.5 by 11.69 inches, which covers A4 and US Letter, and the 35-page ADF feeds the same sizes for multi-page copy, scan or fax jobs.

How can I confirm the HP Smart Tank 7602 is printing at the rated 15 ppm black and 9 ppm colour after I finish setup?

Print a multi-page document from the HP Smart app or driver; the output should complete at roughly 15 pages per minute for black text and 9 pages per minute for colour pages, matching the quoted engine speeds.
