Compact thin client for managed endpoints

The HP Thin Client MT21 is a 14-inch notebook built for organisations that run virtual desktops or cloud workspaces. It ships with Windows 10 Pro and an Intel Celeron 3865U dual-core processor at 1.80GHz, providing enough local performance for lightweight tasks and remote sessions. The 8GB DDR4 2400 memory and 256GB NVMe SSD are factory-fitted upgrades that keep the system responsive during typical thin-client workloads.

Silver chassis with legacy and modern video outputs

A non-touch HD panel at 1366 x 768 handles basic office content and a 720p webcam supports video calls. The silver notebook body includes HDMI, VGA and DisplayPort via USB-C, so it can drive both older projectors and newer monitors without adapters. Wired LAN, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are integrated, and a card reader adds convenient media access for kiosk or retail deployments.

256GB NVMe SSD defines local storage capacity

The single NVMe drive holds the operating system, cached profiles and any approved local applications. There is no secondary hard drive bay, so users who need more space must rely on network shares or cloud storage. Buyers who want larger onboard capacity or a second drive should consider a different platform.

Questions about this item

What resolution does the HDMI port support on this MT21?

The HDMI output is driven by the integrated Intel HD Graphics 610 and the panel runs at 1366 x 768, so external displays are limited to that resolution unless a higher mode is negotiated.

What screw pattern does the 256 GB NVMe drive use?

The drive fits a standard M.2 2280 slot inside the chassis; remove the bottom cover and secure the module with the single retention screw provided.

How do I perform a clean install of Windows 10 Pro on this unit?

Boot from a USB installer, delete existing partitions on the 256 GB NVMe SSD, create a new partition and let setup complete; the Intel HD Graphics 610 drivers install automatically via Windows Update.
