16-inch Mobile Workstation with NPU

The HP ZBook 8 G2i is a 16.0-inch mobile workstation powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 366H processor with 16 cores. It includes 64GB DDR5 5600 memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The WQUXGA display runs at 3840 x 2400 resolution and 120 Hz. An integrated NPU delivers up to 50 TOPS for AI workloads. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Best for AI development and colour-critical tasks

This system suits developers and creatives who need local AI acceleration via the NPU and a high-resolution 120 Hz panel for visual work. The 64GB memory and NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 6GB GPU support demanding applications. Buyers who need a touchscreen should look elsewhere as this model uses a non-touch display. Those requiring multiple internal drive bays will find only a single NVMe slot.

NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 6GB GPU decides fit

The discrete NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 with 6GB memory is the specification that determines suitability. It provides professional graphics drivers and GPU compute for CAD, rendering and AI inference. If your workflow relies on integrated graphics alone or demands a higher VRAM allocation, this configuration will not match those requirements.

Questions about this item

Will the 64 GB DDR5 5600 memory and 1 TB NVMe SSD be pre-installed so I do not need to add anything?

Yes, the laptop ships with 64 GB of DDR5 5600 memory and a 1 TB NVMe SSD already installed, so no additional modules or drives are required for basic operation.

Can I connect my existing Wi-Fi 7 router and 120 Hz external monitor to the ZBook 8 G2i?

The system includes Wi-Fi 7 and a 16.0 inch 3840 x 2400 display running at 120 Hz, so it will join a Wi-Fi 7 network and drive a matching high-refresh external panel over its video outputs.

How can I verify the NPU is delivering up to 50 TOPS after setup?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose the NPU graph and confirm the reported throughput reaches the 50 TOPS rating listed for the Intel Core Ultra 7 366H.
