Adds SATA M.2 2280 storage support to HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 servers
This accessory adds an M.2 2280 slot with SATA signalling to the HPE DL360 Gen10 server. It targets administrators who want to boot the operating system from a compact SATA solid-state drive without occupying a front drive bay.
The black circuit board mounts inside the chassis and presents a single M.2 2280 connector wired for SATA protocol. Installation uses the server's native riser slot, so no extra cables or power adapters are required for daily operation.
This kit replaces a traditional 2.5-inch SATA SSD or hard drive used for boot duties, freeing a drive bay for additional data storage. The upgrade is worthwhile when the platform supports M.2 SATA and the administrator prefers a smaller boot footprint.

The kit connects M.2 2280 drives through the server SATA interface, so drive speed is limited to the SATA link rate of the DL360 Gen10 backplane.
The riser installs in the dedicated internal M.2 riser slot on the system board, not in a drive bay or PCIe slot.
Power down the server, open the chassis, insert the riser into the onboard M.2 connector, secure the screw, then enable the SATA M.2 option in UEFI before the OS will see the drive.
