HPE Aruba 6300M 48-port 2.5G PoE stackable switch

The HPE Aruba Networking 6300M JL660A is a managed stackable switch built for enterprise access, aggregation and core layers. It delivers 48 multi-gigabit BASE-T PoE ports and four high-speed SFP uplinks in a 1U rack-mountable chassis.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This switch suits network teams that need Class 6 PoE up to 60W per port for high-power endpoints and want to manage up to 10 units as a single logical device. It is not for buyers who require only basic unmanaged connectivity or who cannot use a 1U rack mounting format.

880Gbps switching capacity and 654Mpps throughput

The fabric provides 880Gbps switching capacity with 654Mpps forwarding performance to handle heavy campus traffic loads. A 1.8GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A72 processor with 8GB DDR4 and 32GB eMMC runs the AOS-CX operating system and NetEdit automation.

Questions about this item

Will the 48 2.5G PoE ports work with my existing 1GbE access points and cameras?

Yes, each port auto-negotiates down to 1GbE so legacy devices connect at their rated speed while still receiving up to 60W Class 6 PoE.

How can I confirm the 880Gbps switching capacity is active after stacking two units?

The AOS-CX dashboard shows real-time throughput up to 654Mpps and stack health; the 1.8GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A72 with 8GB DDR4 and 32GB eMMC processes all telemetry locally.

Does the box include the SFP28 transceivers needed for the 4 x 50G uplinks?

The switch ships with rack-mount brackets and power cords only; SFP28 modules for the 1/10/25/50G ports must be purchased separately.
