Tri-radio Wi-Fi 6E access point with 2×2 MIMO on 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands, integrated downtilt omnidirectional antennas, dual 2.5 GbE ports and Bluetooth 5.0/IEEE 802.15.4 IoT support
The HPE Aruba Networking AP-635 is a campus access point built for indoor environments that need simultaneous 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz coverage. It targets IT teams managing high-density wireless in offices, schools or healthcare facilities.
Two downtilt omnidirectional antennas are built in for horizontal ceiling mounting, delivering 2x2 MIMO with 4.6 dBi gain at 2.4 GHz, 7.0 dBi at 5 GHz and 6.3 dBi at 6 GHz. The unit includes two autosensing RJ-45 ports at 100/1000/2500BASE-T plus a USB port for IoT radios such as Bluetooth 5.0 or 802.15.4.
Maximum channel widths reach 20/40 MHz on 2.4 GHz, 20/40/80 MHz on 5 GHz and 20/40/80/160 MHz on 6 GHz, yielding a combined peak data rate of 3.9 Gbps. Buyers who need higher spatial streams or external antenna flexibility should consider other models.

The AP-635 provides two 2.5GbE RJ-45 ports that autosense 100/1000/2500 Mbps and comply with NBase-T and 802.3bz, so each link tops out at 2.5 Gbps.
The two downtilt omnidirectional antennas are optimised for horizontal ceiling-mount orientation, so the unit must be installed flat against a ceiling surface.
It is powered via PoE on either Ethernet port; the common mistake is using a PoE source that cannot deliver the required power class, leaving the radios offline.
