Tri-band Wi-Fi 7 indoor access point with 2.5 Gbps Ethernet, PoE power and integrated IoT radio delivering 4.7 Gbps aggregate throughput
The HPE Aruba AP-725 is an indoor wireless access point built for campus environments. It delivers Wi-Fi 7 across three radios covering 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands. Integrated down-tilt omni-directional antennas provide 2x2 MIMO with peak gains of 5.1 dBi at 2.4 GHz and 5.4 dBi at both 5 GHz and 6 GHz. The unit mounts horizontally on ceilings with a roughly 30-degree downtilt for optimal coverage.
Three 2x2 MIMO radios combine for a maximum tri-band aggregate data rate of 4.7 Gbps. Wi-Fi 7 multilink operation enables channel aggregation and 4K QAM for higher throughput and lower latency. The 6 GHz band more than doubles available capacity compared with previous allocations. An integrated IoT radio supports BLE or 802.15.4/Zigbee for building automation. Maximum power draw is 17.1 W without USB devices and 22.8 W with them attached.
The access point is powered by IEEE 802.3at PoE Class 4, eliminating the need for a local power outlet. A single 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port provides the wired uplink. AI-powered dynamic power save mode reduces energy consumption during low-traffic periods. Certifications include Wi-Fi Alliance Wi-Fi CERTIFIED for a, b, g, n, ac, 6 and 7 with WPA2, WPA3 and Enhanced Open. Compliance covers FCC/ISED, CE RED Directive 2014/53/EU and UL/IEC/EN 62368-1 safety standards.

Yes, the 2.5 Gbps port auto-negotiates down to 1 Gbps so it connects to your current switch while still accepting PoE power.
Check that the status LEDs show solid green for power and each radio, then confirm clients associate on 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz with MLO enabled.
The access point ships with integrated antennas only; mounting hardware and a PoE+ injector or compatible switch must be purchased separately.
