HPE Color LaserJet Pro M277DW multifunction printer

This new HPE Color LaserJet Pro M277DW is a colour multifunction laser printer that prints, copies, scans and faxes. It produces up to 19 pages per minute in both black and colour at 600 x 600 dpi resolution. A 50-sheet automatic document feeder and 150-sheet input tray support routine office workloads. Wireless, Ethernet and USB 2.0 interfaces provide flexible network integration.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Small teams needing a compact all-in-one with automatic duplex printing and wireless connectivity will find it fits daily document workflows. Buyers who want higher paper capacity or faster throughput should look at larger departmental models. Environments requiring advanced finishing options such as stapling or booklet making are not served by this device.

Deciding specification: 19 ppm colour

The 19 ppm rating for both colour and black output determines whether the printer matches your volume expectations. If your workload regularly exceeds this rate, a higher-speed unit will be necessary. For typical small-office printing and copying, the 19 ppm figure delivers consistent performance.

Questions about this item

How do I set up wireless printing on the M277DW and what step is often missed?

Connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network using the 3-inch LCD touchscreen, then install the driver on each computer or mobile device; the step often missed is adding the printer on every device after the network join.

Which consumable items will need replacement during the life of the M277DW?

The four toner cartridges (black, cyan, magenta, yellow) will need replacement as they deplete; the 50-sheet ADF pickup roller and separation pad may also require changing after heavy scanning use.

What limit appears first when printing long jobs continuously on the M277DW?

The 150-sheet input tray empties first, requiring a refill before the 19 ppm engine can continue the job.
