SKU CH-659N-K9ARX MPN JNP-QSFP-100G-BXSR

A QSFP28 transceiver delivering 100 Gigabit Ethernet over dual LC receptacles with bidirectional wavelengths

  • 100 Gigabit Ethernet throughput via QSFP28 interface
  • Bidirectional optics use separate wavelengths per LC receptacle
  • Hot-pluggable QSFP28 form factor simplifies deployment
  • New condition ensures full manufacturer specification compliance

HPE Juniper QSFP28 100G transceiver

This HPE Juniper Networking JNP-QSFP-100G-BXSR module delivers 100 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity in a QSFP28 form factor. It is built for network engineers deploying high-speed links in enterprise or data-centre environments. The bidirectional design uses two LC receptacles to handle transmit and receive paths on separate optical wavelengths.

Bidirectional wavelength pairing

Each transceiver receives and transmits on different optical wavelengths, so the receive wavelength must match the transmit wavelength of the paired module. This constraint decides whether the part fits a specific link. Buyers who need a single-wavelength or non-bidirectional transceiver should choose a different module.

Questions about this item

What does the 100 Gigabit Ethernet rating mean once the module is installed in a switch?

The module carries a 100 Gigabit Ethernet signal over a single bidirectional LC pair, so the link runs at line rate without aggregation.

How does the QSFP28 form factor limit the connection in practice?

The QSFP28 cage accepts this transceiver and caps the electrical interface to 28 Gbps lanes, so the 100 Gigabit Ethernet signal is delivered through that standard electrical interface.
