Enterprise mono MFP for busy offices

The HPE LaserJet Enterprise 500 MFP M525C is a monochrome multifunction laser printer built for workgroups that need reliable print, copy and scan in one networked device. It delivers black output at up to 42 pages per minute with a 1200 by 1200 dpi resolution. A 1000-sheet maximum input capacity reduces reload frequency during high-volume days. Ethernet connectivity integrates the unit directly into existing office infrastructure without extra configuration.

Low-maintenance thermals and power profile

The refreshed maintenance kit installs a new fuser, rollers, pads and pressure roller, so the printer runs at spec without the heat spikes or paper-path friction that cause jams. Updated firmware optimises sleep and wake cycles for modern network environments, keeping idle power draw modest. Acoustic output stays at typical office-background levels during sustained 42 ppm runs, and the toner bundle ships ready to install so first-page warm-up is immediate.

Toner bundle and depot coverage change the cost

A new generic HP CE255X cartridge rated at 12500 pages is included, removing the immediate consumable purchase and extending the interval before the next reorder. The 90-day depot warranty covers hardware defects through the critical early deployment window. Buyers who need colour output, wireless direct printing or a larger paper capacity should evaluate other models, as this unit is mono-only, Ethernet-connected and capped at 1000 sheets input.

Questions about this item

How do I install the HP CE255X toner cartridge and what step do people often miss?

Open the front door, pull out the old cartridge, rock the new CE255X gently side to side, remove the sealing tape completely, then slide it in until it clicks; the step most often missed is forgetting to pull the full length of sealing tape before insertion.

Which maintenance items will need replacement after the initial kit wears out?

The fuser, pickup rollers, separation roller, multipurpose pickup roller, separation pads, transfer roller and pressure roller will all need replacement again once their rated life is reached.

At what monthly page volume does the 1000-sheet input tray become the first bottleneck?

Sustained runs above roughly 1000 pages per day will make the 1000-sheet tray the limiting factor, requiring frequent refills or an optional additional tray.
