Outdoor Dual-Band Wireless Access Point

The HPE Networking Instant On AP-585 is a dual-band wireless access point built for outdoor deployment. It operates under the IEEE 802.11ax standard and delivers an aggregate data rate of 2.97 Gbit/s. The unit features internal omni-directional antennas in a unified outdoor form factor.

Suitable for Outdoor Unified Coverage

This access point suits organisations extending a unified wireless network to external areas such as courtyards or loading bays. Buyers needing indoor-only hardware or a different mounting style should look at other models. The dual-radio 4x4:4 configuration supports high-density client environments outdoors.

Aggregate Throughput of 2.97 Gbit/s

The combined wireless throughput of 2.97 Gbit/s is the key figure for capacity planning. Verify that your backhaul and switching infrastructure can sustain this bandwidth. The Aruba AP-585 design targets scenarios where this aggregate rate matches the expected client load.
