This HPE Instant On IAP-105-US access point delivers 300Mbps per radio across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands using IEEE 802.11n technology. It supports up to 16 APs managed by a single Virtual Controller for small business or distributed deployments. The unit includes one 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet port and a console interface for local configuration. Integrated omni-directional antennas provide 2x2 MIMO with spatial diversity for reliable coverage.

Sustained load behaviour

Under continuous operation the AP draws a maximum of 12.5 watts and operates within 0°C to 50°C ambient temperature with 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity. Transmit power is configurable in 0.5 dBm increments up to 23 dBm per band, limited by local regulatory requirements. Maximum ratio combining improves receiver performance during extended high-density client sessions. The device is powered via 802.3af PoE or an optional 12 V DC adapter.

Pre-installation checks
