A 3.28 ft direct-attach cable linking two SFP+ ports for short-range network connections
This HPE ProCurve cable provides a fixed SFP+ to SFP+ link for network switches and servers. The one-metre assembly replaces separate transceivers and patch cords with a single factory-terminated unit. It is built new for immediate deployment in data-centre or campus racks.
The 3.28 ft length fits adjacent or same-rack ports where a short reach is required. Buyers needing links across rows or between cabinets should select a longer cable or an optical transceiver solution. The passive design also means it cannot be used where active signal conditioning is required.
Both ends carry identical SFP+ connectors, so the cable plugs directly into matching ports on switches, NICs or storage controllers. No additional adapters or modules are needed for the physical connection. Verify that the host equipment supports direct-attach copper at the intended speed before ordering.

| First connector | SFP+ |
| Second connector | SFP+ |
The cable uses SFP+ connectors on both ends and is 3.28 ft long, so the two ports must be close enough for that reach without tension.
Insert each SFP+ connector until the latch clicks; the step often missed is failing to push both sides fully home so the latch engages.
Replace it if the SFP+ latches no longer hold, the cable jacket shows kinks or cuts, or link errors appear on the connected ports.
