Adds four XFP expansion slots at 10 Gbps to compatible ProCurve 5400zl and 8200zl switches
The HPE ProCurve J9309A is a 4-port interface module built for data networking. It installs into compatible ProCurve chassis to add four XFP expansion slots. The module supports a maximum data transfer rate of 10. It is designed for network administrators expanding port density on supported switches.
This module fits HP ProCurve 8200zl and 5400zl switch series chassis. It serves teams needing four additional XFP slots for fibre uplinks or interconnects. Buyers using other switch families or requiring different slot types should look elsewhere. It does not function as a standalone network device.
Each of the four expansion slots accepts XFP transceivers running up to 10. The module comfortably handles aggregation links and core uplifts within that bandwidth. Environments demanding higher per-port speeds or greater slot counts will exceed its capacity.

Yes, the module provides four XFP expansion slots that accept standard XFP transceivers you may already have.
Check the switch port statistics for each of the four XFP ports; they should show link up at 10 Gbps with incrementing packet counters.
