HPE DL380 Gen11 LFF Front Cable Kit

This new HPE accessory is a dedicated cable kit for the ProLiant DL380 Gen11 large-form-factor chassis. It connects the front drive backplane to the server board and weighs approximately 0.390 lb. The kit measures 8.46 x 12.01 x 2.36 inches. Part number P56995B21 identifies the unit.

For DL380 Gen11 LFF builders only

It fits the HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 LFF platform and is intended for server deployments. Technicians working on other HPE generations, small-form-factor models, or non-HPE hardware cannot use this kit. Buyers who need cabling for a different server family should look elsewhere.

Tri-Mode backplane interface

The single specification that decides fitment is the tri-mode front backplane interface on the DL380 Gen11 LFF. If the target server uses that exact front backplane design, this cable kit provides the required connection. Without that specific backplane the kit will not install.

Questions about this item

Will the P56995B21 cable kit fit the LFF drive bays in my existing DL380 Gen11 chassis?

The kit is built for HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 LFF servers, so it aligns with the large-form-factor front drive cage in that chassis.

How can I verify the tri-mode cables are seated correctly after installation?

Each connector clicks firmly into the backplane and controller ports; the server POST will then show every attached drive without errors.

Does the P56995B21 package include the drive backplane or only the cable assembly?

The box contains the tri-mode cable assembly weighing about .390 lb; the LFF backplane and drives are separate purchases.
