Silex Technology America, Inc.
Connects USB 3.0 and 2.0 devices to a 10/100/1000 network via a 1 GHz CPU with IEEE 802.1X authentication and AES 256-bit encryption
The Silex DS-600 connects USB 3.0 and 2.0 peripherals to a wired network so they can be shared by multiple users. It removes the need for a direct PC link and lets printers, scanners, drives or cameras sit anywhere an Ethernet cable reaches. IT teams and workgroups gain flexible device placement without extra host computers.
A 1 GHz processor drives a 10/100/1000Base-T port for high-throughput USB traffic over the LAN. The board exposes one USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Type-A port and one USB 2.0 Hi-Speed Type-A port, both supplying bus power to attached devices. Isochronous transfer support keeps streaming workloads stable during sustained use.
IEEE 802.1X authentication with EAP-TLS, PEAP and EAP-TTLS lets the unit join secured corporate networks. AES 256-bit encryption protects data in transit across the link. The feature set is built for virtualised environments where consolidated USB access and strict access control are required.

Connect the 10/100/1000Base Ethernet port to your network switch, then attach USB devices to the USB 3.0 SUPERSPEED Type A port or the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed Type A port; both supply bus power.
No user-serviceable parts are described; keep the firmware current and ensure the Ethernet and USB cables remain firmly seated.
The Gigabit Ethernet link caps sustained throughput at 1000 Mbps, which will be reached before the 1 GHz CPU or USB 3.0 bus saturates.
