Mount kit secures HPE 270 Series wireless access points with adjustable tilt
This HPE R6W11A mount kit is designed specifically for 270 series wireless access points. It provides the necessary hardware to secure the device to a wall or ceiling surface. The kit suits network installers and IT teams deploying these access points in commercial environments. Buyers needing mounts for other AP series or different hardware form factors cannot use this kit.
As a passive mounting bracket, this accessory has no electrical components and draws zero power. It generates no heat and produces no audible noise during operation. The tilt feature adjusts mechanically without motors or fans. Thermal management and acoustic performance depend entirely on the access point hardware installed into the bracket.
The bundled tilt mechanism allows the mounted access point to be angled after installation. This adjusts the wireless radiation pattern to improve signal coverage in targeted areas such as hallways or open-plan offices. No software, licenses or configuration tools are included with the kit. The physical adjustment is the only functional change the accessory provides to the deployment.

The kit secures the supported wireless access point to a ceiling grid; the step most often missed is tightening the tilt-lock screw after you set the desired angle.
The tilt mechanism contains moving joints that can loosen with repeated adjustment; plan to re-tighten or replace the hardware if the access point begins to sag.
The tilt joint’s friction capacity is the first limit under sustained load; if the access point weight exceeds the joint’s holding torque, the aim will drift downward.
