Dual-band PoE access point delivers concurrent 867 Mbps WiFi AC and 300 Mbps WiFi N with multiple operating modes and included management software
The TEW-821DAP is a dual-band wireless access point that delivers concurrent 867 Mbps on 5 GHz and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. It supports access point, client, WDS and repeater modes for flexible network design. The integrated PoE Gigabit LAN port simplifies deployment by carrying data and power over a single cable. A Windows-based software controller manages multiple units from one interface.
Verify that your network switch or injector supplies IEEE 802.3af power over Ethernet to the single Gigabit port. Confirm the mounting location offers a flat wall or ceiling area for the included bracket and cable guard. Ensure the ambient temperature stays between 0°C and 40°C with non-condensing humidity below 95 percent. The unit requires a 12 V DC, 1 A supply if PoE is unavailable.
The compact enclosure measures 1.80 inches high by 7.30 inches wide and deep, weighing 1.01 lbs, so it blends into most ceilings and walls. Four fixed 4 dBi antennas (two per band) provide omnidirectional coverage without external adjustment. The captive mounting plate includes a cable guard that protects the Ethernet connection from strain. A 1.5 metre network cable and power adapter are supplied for non-PoE installations.
